Pre-Assembled Dodge ISN 60mm

The Dodge ISN product is one of today’s market leading housed bearing products and comes pre-assembled as standard.

After discussing the issue’s at the quarry it was advised by the customer it can take up to 6 hours in some applications to stop the crusher, have engineers organised, remove the old bearings, refit new bearings and then re-start the crusher... this was just not acceptable when business is extremely busy and the plant requires to run 10hours a day 6 days a week.

After much discussion with the Scots Bearings Sales Director (Brian Preston) and the Dodge Area Sales Engineer (Kevin Mansell) it was agreed both would visit on a set date when the plant was shut down to work alongside the Quarry Engineers to remove the existing product and replace with the new Dodge ISN product.

To the engineers amazement this whole job took under 90min and this included stopping and restarting the conveyor. The main factor for the reduced timescale is down to the Dodge product being supplied pre-assembled which in turn allows the engineer to prepare the shaft and then slide on the new bearing product with ease.
