A world of
bearings & power
transmission at
your fingertips

Cooper split bearings combine the two crucial elements of running cost-effective machinery: flexibility and reliability.

  • Flexibility because the split design allows access without the need to dismantle components related to the bearing.
  • Reliability because they are able to function in what might otherwise be thought of as 'problem' locations.

The key features of Cooper split bearings mean they will function effectively anywhere your designer or maintenance team has the imagination to incorporate them: the swivel cartridge accommodates angular misalignment the constantly concentric sealing offers superior protection only grease lubrication is needed for maintenance. This results in bearings that are able to withstand harsh working conditions while keeping downtime to a minimum.

They are straightforward to retro-fit and can replace most spherical or bush bearings in rotational equipment. Increasingly, Cooper split bearings are specified at the design stage due to the significant reduction in maintenance downtime - and therefore greater return on investment – they represent.

Cooper bearings are manufactured in different series which are appropriate for different tasks in specific working conditions.

More information;

Standard bearings

  • Cooper bearings are currently available as two main standard types:
  • Cylindrical roller bearings (including the 100 series, 01, 01E, 02, 03 and 08SDC series)

Tapered roller bearings (currently includes only the IDTB series but we are rapidly developing and widening this range of two-row tapered bearings)

Special bearings include

  • Cooled bearings (for continuous castors in used in the steel industry)
  • Flat Thrust bearings (split and solid)
  • Other Solid bearings
  • High Speed bearings
  • Full Row bearings as well as other special types of standard CRB bearings including
  • 04 Series and Over 600mm bore size bearings

Cooper bearings are commonly supplied as either fixed (GR) or expansion (EX), but other configurations are also available.
